the country’s major hospitals so that we can also aid in the training of a new generation of ophthalmologists. We have made many good friends both in Burma and the USA because of our ongoing work on this project. My Passions: I have many passions about which I often go on and on (but won’t now): my grandchildren, travel to faraway places with Ronnie, horticulture, fly fishing, and music. When it comes to all of these activities, I say, “The more, the better.” None of the above (Family, Highlights, Passions, etc.) would have blossomed and flourished without Ronnie. We met in Baltimore in 1969. Her collaboration and support, and her patient attempts to educate me in important ways not on the curriculum of Amherst College or Johns Hopkins University, allowed both of us to grow up and thrive together.
